Thanks for your interest in promoting your event in Erie, PA! Please note that VisitErie is funded through Erie County's hotel occupancy tax and as such, our focus is bringing tourists to Erie County Pennsylvania. This means there are some stipulations on the events we promote. Please read the following guidelines before submitting your event.

VisitErie Events Calendar Guidelines

The overall objective of the Calendar of Events is to:

• Assist in growing the tourism and hospitality industry by increasing the number of visitors to this site, to help visitors plan trips to the region, and to increase the amount of money visitors spend during their stay
• Increase the resourcefulness of VisitErie.com by providing valuable information in a manner that best serves visitors
• Showcase the great entertainment, festivals, and events in the Erie region

In order for this page to best serve our visitors, the event must fit the following criteria:

• Have a broad appeal, including to potential visitors
• Present visitors with the opportunity to experience Erie County’s tourism industry assets
• Be open to the public and be an activity in which visitors can participate

Examples of events that are not eligible are: store sales, job fairs, private conferences, yard sales, non-entertainment bar/restaurant events, meetings, political events, private fundraisers and membership events, and other events that are not travel and tourism related at VisitErie's discretion.

Submitted events should keep the following guidelines in mind:

• Only one event may be submitted per form.
• Event dates must be final; tentative dates are not acceptable.
• Event descriptions must be shorter than 300 words in length.
• Events should be submitted at least two weeks prior to the event occurrence to ensure adequate notice to the public.
• Photos should not include text

Event listings may be edited, approved or refused at VisitErie’s discretion. Please verify that your event is not already listed on the calendar before submitting.
