The 2023 North East Firemen's Cherry Festival is back and better than ever! Featuring your favorite rides, slides, festival foods and games, you are sure to have a great time for a great cause.
Cherry Festival is the annual summer gathering in the beautiful North East, PA. This gathering, often times a rally point of class reunions, weddings, family activities and time honored traditions will be here July 5 - July 8.
The Sausage Tent, a staple of the festival and home of our namesake "Cherry Festival Sausage" is sure to keep you coming back for more. A delicious fresh made, hand cut roll surrounds a secret recipe sausage with fresh cut onions and peppers. If fresh cut regular fries are your thing, then this is the place for you.
The Fry Barn, home of the curliest of fries and tender cuts of delicious chicken served piping hot and fresh made just for you. Some potatoes are grown for salads, but only the best Idaho potatoes make the cut and get to become Cherry Festival Curly Fries.
Ox Roast, Hot Dogs, Burgers and the sweetest Cherry Pies await you at the Ladies' Auxiliary tent. Serving the finest Smiths provisions products, the ladies serve up crowd-pleasing favorites year after year.
Rides this year are provided by Lisko Family Amusements. Joining us for the second year, they are back and going to be better than ever. They now know the town, the layout and what we are looking for, and will bring rides and slides for kids of all ages!!
And who can forget the largest volunteer firemen's parade in Pennsylvania? Join us downtown North East on Saturday, July 8th at 2 p.m. to see bands, performing groups, horses and emergency vehicles of all shapes and sizes. Often its own form of party for the community, we like to think of it as our way of giving back to the town for the support shown to us throughout the year.
All proceeds from the North East Fire Department tents benefit Fuller Hose Company #1 and Crescent Hose Company #2, and aid North East Fireman in providing the best fire, rescue and EMS to the community of North East and surrounding areas.
